I am a seasoned international educator and leader with experience teaching college, high school, middle school, and international students.

Over the course of my teaching career, I’ve been honored to:

  • Facilitate professional development workshops for over 1,500+ educators, administrators, and staff across the United States and Central Asia
  • Teach and train students and teachers in America, Karakalpakstan, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan
  • Deliver 17 keynote/plenary speeches at international educational conferences
  • Mentor PhD candidates throughout Central Asia via the Inkspire Scholars PhD writing support group
  • 🎙️ Create and Host the Language Bridge Podcast & Unbreakable Resilience Podcast: As the creator and host of two dynamic podcasts, I bridge two essential worlds: academic empowerment and personal healing.

In my current role as an English Language Fellow with the U.S. State Department in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, I am responsible for instructing a diverse cadre of English Second Language college students and training faculty and administration in current English Language Learner curriculum and assessment strategies. My primary duties include teaching classes for third and fourth year teaching students at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

Secondary duties and/or projects associated to my current work assignment include: keynote speaking at English as a Second Language conferences in Central Asia; teaching at the American Corner in Tashkent; facilitating conversation clubs at the University for students; facilitating professional development for teachers and administrators throughout Central Asia; and working alongside the local community to promote English language acquisition and shared cultural experiences.

  • Creating and hosting the Language Bridge Podcast has been an exciting journey, allowing me to connect with ESL educators worldwide. I’ve developed original content, conducted interviews, and managed promotions to engage listeners with valuable insights on ESL teaching strategies and language learning.
  • Running the Language Bridge Academic Journal has further deepened my expertise in academic publishing. As the Publications Manager, I oversee submissions, peer reviews, and publication processes, ensuring that Central Asian scholars and international researchers have a platform for their work. My experience in research extends beyond editorial work—I actively explore topics related to language acquisition, teacher self-efficacy, and second language theory. Whether writing articles, mentoring students through research projects, or delivering professional development, my work is rooted in fostering scholarly communication and advancing education.

The professional experience I have gained during my time as an educator, small business owner, professional baseball player, consultant, coach, researcher, and law enforcement officer has helped me to create strong support and engagement strategies for a diverse student population, while improving my overall cultural awareness and responsiveness.
